An unforgettable Vietnam Golf Tour!

Welcome Night & Round One at BRG Kings Island Golf Resort – Kings Course

Our adventure began at the elegant Hotel De l’Opera Hanoi, with a traditional Vietnamese dinner setting the tone for the week ahead. It was the perfect opportunity for everyone to meet, mingle, and get excited for the days to come.

After a restful first night in Hanoi, we set off for our opening round at the BRG Kings Island Golf Resort. This world-class facility is unique in that it’s only accessible by boat — a memorable way to arrive and start the golfing adventure.

Kings Island boasts three 18-hole courses, and we had the pleasure of taking on the Kings Course. The layout combined stunning views with immaculate conditioning, offering a challenge that was fair but exciting. Generous fairways gave players some breathing room, but with water and bunkers coming into play on most holes, accuracy was still at a premium.

A highlight for many was the bonus 19th hole, a fun addition featuring two greens — one for the red tees and another for the gold tees. It was the perfect way to finish off a truly memorable first round in Vietnam.

Round Two – Thanh Lanh Valley Golf Resort

Next, we travelled north to the spectacular Thanh Lanh Valley Golf Resort. With sweeping views over the lake, valley, and surrounding mountains, the setting was nothing short of breathtaking.

From tee to green, the conditioning was flawless, while the opulent clubhouse made the day all the more memorable.

Hanoi Sightseeing Tour

After two days on the fairways, it was time to discover Hanoi’s rich history and culture.

We began at the Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long, a UNESCO World Heritage. Built in the 11th Century by the Ly Viet Dynasty on remains of a Chinese fortress dating from the 7th Century on drained land reclaimed from the Red River Delta.

Next was the Vietnam Women’s Museum, showcasing over 25,000 objects highlighting the vital role of women in Vietnam’s culture and development.

Following a delicious local lunch, we explored the famous Train Street, enjoying coffee as a train thundered past just inches from where we sat — quite exhilarating sitting mere inches as a fully laden train comes roaring through a tiny street lined with cafes and onlookers.

To finish, we enjoyed a Water Puppet Show, a traditional Vietnamese art form dating back to the 11th Century, where it was originally performed on rice paddies. The show was fun and entertaining, and the skill level of the puppeteers is very impressive.

Round Three & Discovering Ha Long Bay

On Thursday, we packed our bags and travelled east to the stunning Ha Long Bay where we would be based for two nights. Our round at FLC Ha Long Bay Golf Club was absolutely spectacular, with holes perched high above the bay. Even with a smoggy day muting the views, the golf and setting were extraordinary.

Friday brought one of the trip’s true highlights — a cruise on Ha Long Bay. Guests enjoyed uninterrupted views of towering limestone formations, kayaking, jetboating, swimming, and exploring the impressive Sung Sot Cave. A fresh seafood lunch on board capped off the experience.

That evening, 15 adventurous guests returned to FLC Ha Long Bay Golf Club for 9 holes under lights. Playing night golf with the city and bay illuminated was a magical, spur-of-the-moment addition to the trip.

Round Five & Final - Vinpearl Hai Phong Golf Club & Legend Valley Country Club

On our way back to Hanoi, we stopped at Vinpearl Hai Phong Golf Club, home to 36 holes. We played the March Course, which tested players with doglegs, narrow fairways, and water in play throughout. A passing rainstorm cooled the tropical heat, adding a new dimension to the round.

Final Round – Legend Valley Country Club

Our tour concluded at the Legend Valley Country Club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature design and a clear favourite among many guests. Carved into dramatic limestone escarpments and an old rock quarry, the course featured water hazards on 14 of its 18 holes. With a second course under development, this is a venue we’ll be excited to revisit in the future.

Farewell Celebrations

To close the tour, we gathered at a local restaurant for a memorable farewell dinner. With delicious cuisine, traditional music, birthday celebrations, and plenty of laughter, it was the perfect way to wrap up our Vietnam adventure.
