Australian Open Tour
We were lucky enough to be on the ground in Melbourne for a fantastic week with our Australian Open Tour 2025 — and what a tournament it was.
Although it wasn’t the result Aussie fans were hoping for, with Cam Smith falling agonisingly short of his maiden Australian Open crown, it was incredible to see the event return to the heights of its glory days. This year’s championship officially became the most attended golf event in Australian history, proving the game is in a very special place right now.
Our group spent two days at Royal Melbourne’s famed Composite Course, taking in the action on Thursday’s opening round and again on a jam-packed Sunday for the finale. The crowds came out in force to follow the marquee names — Rory McIlroy, Cam Smith, Adam Scott, and Min Woo Lee — creating an electric atmosphere from start to finish.
We also had games of golf at Victoria Golf Club, St Andrews Beach Golf and Sanctuary Lakes.
Enjoy reading about our experience and the great golf Melbourne has to offer!

Victoria Golf Club – Australian Open Experience Day
On Friday, we were fortunate enough to tee it up at the magnificent Victoria Golf Club, ranked inside Australia’s top 10. In superb condition as always, the course was set up to the same championship standards used for the final round of the 2022 Australian Open.
The infamous Sandbelt bunkers kept everyone honest, and with firm, fast greens, our golfers faced a truly world-class challenge. It was a privilege to be back at such a prestigious club — and we’re already excited for our next visit.

St Andrews Beach – Links Golf at Its Best
Saturday took us down to the Mornington Peninsula to tackle one of Australia’s best public-access courses, the Tom Doak–designed St Andrews Beach. With rolling dunes, natural contours, and a rugged links feel, it’s easy to forget you’re in Victoria and not Scotland.
The weather certainly added to that illusion — wet, windy, and wild — but spirits stayed high. A post-round stop at St Andrews Brewery kept the group in excellent form on the way back to Melbourne.

Sanctuary Lakes – A Fun Final Test
Our final round on Monday was at Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club, a Greg Norman–designed resort layout offering a fun, strategic finish to the tour. With water in play on several holes and plenty of classic Norman bunkering, the course delivered just the right mix of challenge and playability for our final day together.
A huge thank you to our guests for joining us on this unforgettable week. We hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we did.
We’re already looking ahead to 2026, when the Australian Open moves to Kingston Heath Golf Club — with Rory McIlroy already confirmed to return. We can’t wait to bring another group back to Melbourne for what promises to be a spectacular championship.
