Golf in Queenstown
Queenstown, New Zealand, is more than just a destination—it’s an experience for all the senses. With its stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and world-class hospitality, it proved to be the perfect setting for our latest Signature Golf Tour.
Over the course of an unforgettable week, our group played four exceptional golf courses, explored Queenstown’s unique culture, savoured fine wines and craft beers, and even braved the brisk waters of Lake Wakatipu.
Welcome Night at Jervois Steak House
We began our adventure with an elegant welcome dinner at Jervois Steak House, where we enjoyed a world-class, three-course dining experience. The warm ambiance, exceptional food, and shared laughter created a fantastic atmosphere, setting the tone for the exciting days ahead. It was the start of a memorable journey filled with camaraderie and anticipation.
Golfing Day 1: Teeing Off at Arrowtown Golf Club
Our golfing journey started at Arrowtown Golf Club, a course that immediately captured everyone’s imagination. Nestled among dramatic rock formations, the fairways seem carved directly from the rugged terrain, creating a layout that’s both unique and challenging.
Arrowtown’s rich history as a gold rush town added a layer of charm to its natural beauty. With twists, turns, and breathtaking views at every hole, it provided the perfect introduction to Queenstown’s world-class golfing experience.
Golfing Days 2 & 3
The Remarkables and Coronet Courses at Millbrook Golf Resort
Millbrook Golf Resort lived up to its stellar reputation, offering two extraordinary days of golf. The first of the two we played were the Remarkables Course, where the dramatic mountain backdrop inspired us to play our best despite some light showers. The group’s spirits remained high as we made the most of the pristine fairways and inviting clubhouse facilities after.
Day 3 brought us to the Coronet Course, a masterpiece designed by Greg Turner and Scott Macpherson. This course combines immaculate fairways with well-placed bunkers and greens that challenge every aspect of your game. Surrounded by rolling hills and the grandeur of the mountains, it’s no wonder Millbrook regularly hosts the New Zealand Open!
At the completion of the round the atmosphere at Millbrook is world class – post game putting competitions, fireside warmth of the resort’s lounges, excellent dining options, and live music.
Golfing Day 4: Jack’s Point – Golf at It's Peak
Our final round took us to the iconic Jack’s Point, a course that belongs on every golfer’s bucket list. Situated beneath the striking Remarkables mountain range and alongside the tranquil waters of Lake Wakatipu, Jack’s Point offered a golfing experience that was as awe-inspiring as it was challenging.
Jack’s Point is ranked as the number one course on New Zealand’s South Island, and it’s easy to see why. Every hole features dramatic views of lake and mountains, with postcard-perfect views that make every shot feel unforgettable.
Touring Around - Beyond the Greens Enjoying Queenstown’s Culture
Queenstown’s magic didn’t stop at the golf courses—it’s a destination bursting with culture, adventure, and unforgettable experiences. Between rounds, our group fully embraced everything this vibrant region has to offer. Some ventured to the world-famous Milford Sound, marvelling at its dramatic fjords, cascading waterfalls, and serene beauty that left everyone in awe. Others opted for a dose of adrenaline and fun by heading up the Skyline Gondola, taking in panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains before racing down the exhilarating Luge track.
For those seeking a relaxed pace, Queenstown’s renowned wineries offered a perfect escape. Sipping on award-winning Central Otago Pinot Noir amidst stunning vineyard backdrops at twilight hour, enjoying live music, delicious local fare, and the warm hospitality that New Zealand is known for. Some even explored iconic filming locations from The Lord of the Rings, walking in the footsteps of hobbits and adventurers while soaking in the region’s cinematic landscapes.
A Memorable Farewell
As the week drew to a close, we reflected on the incredible memories created both on and off the course. From the challenges of the greens to the laughter shared over incredible fresh food, this trip was about much more than golf—it was about connection, discovery, and pure enjoyment.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on this unforgettable journey. Your enthusiasm and camaraderie made every moment special, and we’re already looking forward to our next adventure together.
