Scotland Championship Golf & Sightseeing Tour Wrap-Up 2026

An Unforgettable Journey Through the Home of Golf

Our Scotland Championship Golf & Sightseeing Tour from 24th July to 2nd August 2026 was an incredible experience from start to finish. Here’s a look back at the highlights, memorable moments and exceptional golf that made this tour one to remember.

The tour began with a three-night stay at the magnificent Fairmont St Andrews. Kicking off the trip, we had our welcome dinner at the hotel where everyone got the chance to meet and catch up with old friends. A pair of local pipers gave us a special Scottish entry, which was a nice touch.

Our golfers enjoyed two outstanding rounds, starting with the Eden Course at St Andrews before taking on the world-renowned Carnoustie Championship Course, one of the toughest and most respected Open Championship venues. St Andrews is a fantastic town, and we also did a special Old Course Tour and a visit to the World Golf Museum just across the road. Unfortunately, we all missed out on the ballot for the Old Course, but just being able to walk the course and take in the celebrated grounds was a special moment.

From there, we travelled to the beautiful city of Edinburgh for two nights of sightseeing and Scottish culture. Highlights included a guided visit of Old Town and the famous Royal Mile, with a couple hours spent at the impressive Edinburgh Castle,  the immersive Johnnie Walker Experience, and plenty of laughs and thrills at the Edinburgh Dungeons. The city’s rich history, stunning architecture and vibrant atmosphere made it a memorable stop for everyone.

Our final destination was Scotland’s spectacular west coast, where we spent four nights at the charming Piersland House Hotel in Troon. Piersland House is famous for being the family home of Sir Alexander Walker, grandson of Johnnie Walker, and creator of the famed Black Label drop of whisky.

Golfers were treated to three exceptional rounds, beginning at Glasgow Gailes, followed by the unforgettable opportunity to play the legendary Royal Troon Golf Club, host of The Open Championship, most recently in 2024. The tour concluded with a fantastic round at Dundonald Links, a modern championship layout, which hosted the Ladies Scottish Open just one week before our visit, that perfectly rounded out an incredible golfing itinerary.

Beyond the golf, the tour was filled with wonderful camaraderie, breathtaking scenery, fantastic Scottish hospitality, and countless memorable moments shared both on and off the course. From walking the fairways of some of the world’s greatest championship venues to exploring Scotland’s rich history and culture, this tour truly showcased the very best that Scotland has to offer.
A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us and made this such an enjoyable and successful tour. We hope you returned home with lasting memories, new friendships, and stories that will be shared for years to come.
