This is one of our most popular trips each and every year, and 2026 again promises to be a great week.

Not only will you be taking in Origin 3 at the famed Suncorp Stadium, you’ll also be treated to rounds of golf on the best courses on the Gold Coast: Links Hope Island, Lakelands, Glades, and Palm Meadows.

Links Hope Island Golf Club

The golf course at Links Hope Island Resort is an 18-hole traditional links style championship course that was designed by Peter Thomson, 5 x winner of the British Open. The layout and design of the course is reminiscent of the great links courses of Britain and Ireland.

Primarily the course consists of two loops of nine holes, the front nine starts off to the southeast in an anticlockwise direction. The back nine heads off in a south-westerly direction, finishing with an interesting and challenging two holes bounded by the non-tidal lake.

Lakelands Golf Club

Lakelands Golf Club is a premier championship course located in Merrimac on Queensland’s Gold Coast, renowned for its elegant layout and serene natural surroundings. Designed by the internationally acclaimed team of Jack Nicklaus and David Graham, the course is set amid rolling fairways, pristine lakes, and mature vegetation, offering a tranquil contrast to the nearby coastal bustle. Its central position makes it easily accessible for visitors staying in Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach, making it a popular inclusion for both local golfers and touring groups seeking a top-tier Gold Coast golf experience.

The course is characterised by wide fairways, strategically placed bunkering, and water hazards that come into play on several holes, rewarding accurate shot-making while still being enjoyable for a range of skill levels. Lakelands is also known for its immaculate course conditioning and strong practice facilities, including a driving range, short-game area, and putting greens. Glades Golf Club

The Glades Golf Club boasts the reputation as one of Australia’s most prestigious resort golf courses and is located right here on the Gold Coast.

Designed by champion Australian golfing icon, Greg Norman, the course is typical of his trademark aggressive layouts offering golfers a challenging round of golf within visually stunning surrounds.

The Glades greens are unique to any other golf course on the Gold Coast and will ensure a superior putting surface all year round as they consist of a new type of “Creeping bent grass” that offers a true putting surface and is the preference of professionals and amateurs alike.

The Glades is a par 72, 7264 metre championship course that spans 65 hectares of land. Greg Norman is renowned for his bunkering worldwide and the Glades does not disappoint with a total of 94 bunkers. Greg not only had a vision to create a challenging golf course on the Gold Coast, but he also retained 9 hectares of wetland area to create a natural wildlife sanctuary within the course.

Palm Meadows Golf Club

Palm Meadows Golf Course is one of the Gold Coast’s most established and respected resort-style golfing venues, located in Carrara just a short drive from Surfers Paradise and the region’s major accommodation hubs. Set within the lush surrounds of the Mercure Gold Coast Resort, the course is known for its tropical landscape, featuring towering palms, broad lakes, and beautifully manicured fairways. Its relaxed yet high-quality atmosphere makes it a favourite among visiting golfers and tour groups seeking an enjoyable round in a picturesque setting.

The layout offers a balanced challenge, with water hazards coming into play on many holes and well-placed bunkers demanding thoughtful course management. Palm Meadows is particularly appreciated for its excellent playing surfaces, generous fairways, and welcoming accessibility for golfers of varying abilities. With strong practice facilities, professional services, and the added convenience of nearby resort amenities, Palm Meadows provides a classic Gold Coast golf experience that combines scenic beauty with a comfortable, holiday-friendly environment.

Once registered, all entrants will be invoiced for a $250 deposit to secure your spot in the tour. Final payments are due 28 days in advance of the tour.
